The East Coast

The East Coast has several wonderful sandy beaches, unspoilt, quiet rural beaches with long sandy beaches and grassy sand dunes. The perfect location for bird watching, swimming, surfing, sea angling and walking.

The East Coast is a great place to enjoy a lazy peaceful day at the beach, long walks along wide strips of golden sand or if you crave something more, head towards the amusements, arcades and local places of interest. There is also an amazing variety of flora and fauna to be discovered along this coastline.

Skegness has award winning sandy beaches and clean water awards. Plenty of space to spend time at the beach, take a donkey ride, build sand castles or walk along the golden sand and paddle in the sea. Head in to town for fish and chips or an ice-cream, or head to the many amusements and arcades. There is plenty to do, Aquarium, Embassy Theatre, Nature land Seal Sanctuary, Skegness Raceway, Gibralter Point Nature Park. Or simply enjoy the delightful sandy beaches.

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on -Sea, Sandilands, Moggs Eye are lovely destination beaches. Great stretches of golden sand and clean beaches and clean sea water awards.

Donna Nook covers more than 10km of coastline,from Grainthorpe Haven in the north and Saltfleet in the south where it borders the Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe National Nature Reserve. Each Year in November and December, grey seals come to Donna Nook to give birth to their pups close to the sand dunes; a wildlife spectacle which attracts visitors from across the country.
