We are proud to be celebrating our 23rd Anniversary at Magpies Restaurant with Rooms. Andrew and Caroline offer a fun evening with Champagne, Wine and Gourmet Dinner Menu, with Guest Speaker. Join us for a delicious menu and sample several wines from around the world in relaxed and intimate surroundings. The wines are provided by Royal warrant holders Corney & Barrow wine merchants.

We shall be hosting one of Magpies very popular wine events with Guest speaker James Long or Ed Newton, from Royal Warrant Holders Corney & Barrow wine merchants, on Thursday 8th  October 2026. A fun evening with many delicious wines to be sampled and enjoyed, in a pre-dinner tasting. To follow, Chef serves a set five course dinner, accompanied by wines specially chosen to compliment each course, and finally a pot of Stokes coffee and homemade sweet to end the evening. Please join us for a fun filled evening with great wines and delicious food!!

This is a delicious new menu created by our Chef and His Team. A tasting menu where diners can choose from 4 or 6 or 8 courses. The menu is to be had by the whole table but individual guests can choose whether to eat 4 or 6 or 8 dishes. If you wish you can also order the specially chosen flight of wines to accompany the meal. This menu offers you a chance to taste more dishes as each course is smaller than those served on our splendid A La Carte Menu. We hope that you come and try it soon.

Magpies is the perfect place to enjoy Christmas Lunch with family and friends, in our small family run restaurant. Relax in festive and intimate surroundings and start your Christmas Day experience off with a complimentary Poinsettia cocktail and Chef’s selection of canapes in front of the Christmas tree in our small and cosy sitting room. We have a fine wine list, supplied by Royal Warrant Holder wine merchants Corney & Barrow, with several wines to be offered by the glass, half bottles or full bottles. We also have many other drink options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. To finish your dining experience enjoy a Stokes coffee and homemade chocolate truffle and Mince Pie Baklava.

Bookings are essential as we only have one sitting, the table is yours for the duration and we only seat about 30 people.
