We shall be hosting one of Magpies very popular wine events with Guest speaker James Long or Ed Newton, from Corney & Barrow wine merchants, on Thursday 9th  October 2025. A fun evening with many delicious wines to be sampled and enjoyed, in a pre-dinner tasting. To follow, Chef serves a set five course dinner, accompanied by wines specially chosen to compliment each course, and finally a pot of Stokes coffee and homemade sweet to end the evening. Please join us for a fun filled evening with great wines and delicious food!!

Join us for our monthly pudding and cheese menu. A six course gourmet dinner menu consisting of three savoury dishes with a cheese element and three delicious sweet temptations. This menu gives Chef a chance to experiment with new dishes and play with different flavours. This is a set menu and you need to inform us upon booking about any dietary requirements or allergies. We create a new and exciting menu for each month

Magpies is a small family run restaurant, and the perfect place for family and friends to enjoy fine dining in relaxed and intimate surroundings. Join us for our monthly cheese and pudding menu. We have two fun wine tastings evenings in May and October with guest speaker form Corney  Barrow wine merchants. In May we celebrate Magpies anniversary, an amazing 21 years this year and in October we simply enjoy a wonderful selection of fine wines, which compliments Chef’s fantastic dinner menu. Come and celebrate special occasions or family events at Magpies and enjoy fine dining on our A La Carte Lunch and Dinner menu, party menu (15-30 Guests), or one of our special menus throughout the year.

Choose from a selection of 10 savoury and 10 sweet canapes, a minimum of 10 per person (£22.50) and up to 20 canapes per person (£45.00) Bring 20-36 friends and family to Magpies for a more relaxed drinks party style of dining. You can choose from Chef’s wonderful selection of 10-20 large bite sized canapes , both hot and cold, sweet and savoury, from a Mango Masala Salmon Kebab to a Poached Peach and Raspberry Eton Mess. Each canape is £2.25 per person, a delicious tasty morsel. A minimum of 10 canapes per person is required for booking.

Start your Christmas Celebrations at Magpies with one of our wonderful and delicious festive menus. We offer a three course set festive lunch menu (Wednesday Thursday and Friday lunchtime) A vegetarian option is available if booked in advance of your arrival. The Festive Lunch Menu is to be had by the whole table. However, our usual A La Carte Menu will still be available at both Lunch and Dinner. Come to our delightful family run restaurant to celebrate during the festive season with family and friends for lunch or dinner. Booking is Essential.
